The Prohibition of Spreading Bedroom Secrets

As-salaatu was salaamu ala Sayyidal-ambiya, wa ashrafil-khalq wa ala aalihi wa ashaabihi ajmaeen.

Wa ashadu ilahaa illALLAHu wa ashadu anna muhammadan abduhu wa rasooluhu.

Falhamdulillahi rabbil alameen.Amma baad.

Often - today- a big fitna is when the women talk about their personal lives with their friends or families. This is a definite- "NO NO!".

Same way for a man is when he discusses his marital life with other people for whichever purpose.

Such an act is forbidden to men & women both. As "Haya" is described in the Holy Quran as-

“O children of Adam, We have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God's signs, that they may take heed.” (Al-A`raf 7:26)

Haya or modesty is given importance in our religion yet we- as muslims- forget this when we settle down into gossip.

I am mentioning a key point to abstain from because often women do this act as a form & part of gossip & men do it either to gain "haram favors" from HARAM relations or share stories with their "Best Bud's"

Hence, being such a common point -people often forget it NOT considering the result of their actions- & hence I am quoting 2 Hadiths in this regard & hope that each & every one of us will pay heed & will not carry out such an act ever after this- inshaALLAH!

It is forbidden for either the husband or the wife to spread any of the secrets of their bedroom to anyone outside. The following two hadith are about this:

First: "Verily among the worst people before ALLAH on the Day of Judgement is a man who approaches his wife sexually and she responds and then he spreads her secrets." [Muslim, Ibn Abi Shaiba, Ahmad and others].

Second: "On the authority of Asmaa bint Yazid (Radi ALLAHu ta'ala anhu) who narrated "that she was once in the presence of the Prophet and there were both men and women sitting. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) then said: "Perhaps a man might discuss what he does with his wife, or perhaps a woman might inform someone what she did with her husband?" The people were silent. Then I said: "O, Yes! O Messenger of ALLAH verily both the women and men do that." Then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "Do not do that. It is like a male shaitaan who meets a female shaitaan along the way, and has sex with her while the people look on!" [Ahmad: Hasan or Saheeh due to supports]

ALLAHu akbar!!

Aoodhu billahi minas shaitaan-ir-rajeem!

May ALLAH save us from all such acts. Ameen
